MN Celtic Orgs

I’ve been discovering the vibrant Irish and Scottish culture we have here in the Twin Cities metro, Minnesota and the Upper Midwest.  Here are some organizations which I encourage you to support to learn more and participate.

Irish/Pan-Celtic

Celtic Junction– community center with office and rental space for Celtic and other folk music, dance and language classes and concerts.

Gaeltacht Minnesota– Irish language teaching group, I’ve been studying with them since 2008!

Irish Fair of Minnesota– largest free Irish festival in the country!

Irish Music & Dance Association (IMDA) Best place to find out about great concerts and dance performances

Scottish

Duluth Scottish Heritage Association

Minnesota Coalition of Scottish Clans

Minnesota Scottish Celtic Dance Association

Minnesota Scottish Fair & Highland Games

Royal Scottish Country Dance Society

St. Andrew’s Society of Minnesota

These two are mostly defunct groups but still have good lists of links:

Scottish-American Center

Twin Cities Scottish Club

Welsh

St. David’s Society of Minnesota

 German

German-American Institute– language classes, events with food, music & beer!

Minnesota Krampus

Swedish-American Institute
